Site Supervisor – (Carpenter or Mason)
We require a working Site Supervisor (Carpenter or Mason) to join us. You must have a good knowledge and understanding of construction health & safety, how to manage site staff & sub-contractors, and so on. As a tradesperson, you must have appropriate skills and training in your trade. We value multi-skilled employees who have experience of general construction activities and tasks. Any additional qualifications/training in first aid, health & safety, scaffold inspection, plant operation and so on will be an advantage.
We will give preference to Supervisors with 2 or more years of supervisory experience, who hold an SMSTS or SSSTS qualification. However, we also encourage applications from people with sound trade skills who can demonstrate that they are actively seeking to develop their skills in supervision.
- You must have a CSCS card for your trade, and we prefer candidates with a Manager/Supervisor CSCS card. However, if you don’t have CSCS card(s) but you have the necessary qualifications, we will be able to assist you with CSCS card applications.
- You must be flexible, able to work cooperatively as part of our site teams, confident in dealing with clients and capable of setting-up and running construction sites.
- It is essential that you have a driving license. We will provide you with a fully-equipped vehicle from our fleet.
Our working hours are 7.30am to 4.30pm
Monday to Friday.
Pay rate will be in the range £11.00 to £14.50 an hour, with the higher rates available for candidates with evidence of the necessary supervisory experience and qualifications.
The Company:
We are a well-established construction company based in Threemilestone (outside Truro), working throughout Central and west Cornwall. We undertake a wide range of works from capital projects for commercial and private clients to reactive maintenance. Our commercial clients include Cornwall Council, National Trust, Devon & Cornwall Constabulary and a number of local companies, schools, academies and churches. Our typical projects include property extensions and refurbishments, church renovations, alteration and improvements to schools & academies.
